One of the activities of Summercore this afternoon was our discussion about the Smartboard. It is so much fun, and what an incredible teaching tool to have in anyone’s classroom, and for any age group. We had a blast!

A terrific book and an interesting webquest. The student’s quest is to rewrite the ending of this novel, by paying attention to character, theme, and plot.

This webquest is for a Language Arts 7th grade class. The student’s task is to create a time capsule of his/her present life, school, community, etc. to be buried in the ground and reopened upon graduation from high school.

Book number 7 has caused a lot of hysteria amongst everyone!! People were trying to get their hands on copies of the book weeks before it was due to come out. There were lines out the door at bookstores all around town waiting for the stroke of midnight to get their hands on a copy on the last book in the saga. What will Harry’s fate be?
